Welcome!

This blog is coming to you live from the O'Leary Cubs Family and Consumer Sciences classroom. It will give parents and students an idea of what is going on in FACS class, post links to cool information, and be a place to comment and ask questions.

This blog will also give out information about Mrs. Hubbard's 7th Grade Prime Time. Look for Prime Time just below and to the left to see what is going on there.

6th Grade Locker Caddies

The 6th graders have been completing some really excellent Locker Caddies!

They have also been participating in excellent peer to peer assistance and support.
It has been really cool to watch and I am proud to have such capable and helpful students in my classes.

One student came to us late, so we upcycled an old T-shirt to create his pockets - how cool is that??!!

New Technology!

Thank you to the Twin Falls Education Foundation
for the money provided for new interactive projectors!

We LOVE ours!

What has 8th grade been doing?

Lately we have been learning about how to shop smart.  We have learned what things are important enough to you, the things are worth it to you, and the things you value. We are discovering the things we need, and the things we desire or want.  We are making a small poster that displays these things. The poster will include 5 values, 5 needs, 5 wants, a goal for 8th grade, and a goal by age 19.  This is going to help us discover more about ourselves and the differences we have with others.  If I value my friends then I think they are worth spending my money on as opposed to others who might not think that is worth it.  We are separting the things we know we need aside from the things that mearly want.  Your needs, wants, and values say who you are and make up your personality.  What things do you value? What things do you want? What things do you need?
